This efficient backhoe loader combines the quintessential features of our N Series and a Tier 4 Final solution that's as simple as it gets – no diesel exhaust fluid to add, no particulate filter to maintain. That, combined with user-friendly controls, available 4WD and standard SiteWatch™ Telematics, makes the 580N EP easy for operators of any level and an ideal machine for the rental market. For the digging power of a light-duty excavator, the hauling capabilities of a wheel loader or the versatility of a skid steer, the 580N EP is where efficiency meets power. Purpose-Built Performance Productivity starts at the structure. A heavy-duty loader with long arms and in-line linkage makes truck loading easier, even with uneven loads. A revolutionary over-center design helps reduce "porposing" and, when combined with the optional Ride Control, provides a smoother ride that retains more material. A 74-hp FPT engine and standard Power Shuttle transmission provide reliable performance in any application and for loading or stockpiling tasks, Comfort Steer cuts turning in half so you can work faster with less effort. The backhoe delivers nearly 3,000 lb. of lifting force and over 11,500 lb. of breakout, and with the ProControl anti-rebound option, provides responsive precision. Using competitive attachments? No problem. The backhoe has a universal coupler option and a factory-installed thumb is also available for added utility. And like all N Series machines, SiteWatch Telematics comes standard to track and manage machine performance and service needs. Standard CASE foot-swing controls or available dual-lever mechanical "wobble sticks" provide a classic setup, or opt for infinitely adjustable pilot controls with intuitive fingertip functions, such as two-way hydraulic rocker switches. Simple Serviceability The 580N EP wouldn't be efficient without timesaving serviceability. Daily maintenance is a breeze thanks to grouped, ground-level service points. Swing-out coolers, a flip-up hood, spin-on filters and externally adjustable Extendahoe® wear pads make upkeep easier than ever. Standard battery disconnect and jumpstart terminals provide added security and convenient access, and with the DOC Tier 4 Final solution, there's no DPF maintenance to worry about.
